Brazilian Butt Lift

A Brazilian Butt Lift (also known as a “BBL”) refers to fat being transferred to the buttocks. Two steps are involved with this procedure. First, fat is suctioned from a site on your body where you want less fat (i.e. hips, thighs, abdomen), and then it’s injected into your buttocks using a syringe technique.

Benefits to a BBL include you getting rid of undesired fat in a chosen area of your body, as well as the fact that rejection isn’t an issue, considering it’s just you and your body!

Butt Implants

Butt implants are designed for patients who want to add volume and projection to their backsides, but may not have enough fat in other areas of their body to successfully make a transfer, like you would need with the Brazilian Butt Lift.

The procedure requires an inconspicuous intergluteal incision, which becomes hidden in the gluteal cleft. The implants used are approved by the FDA for buttock augmentation, and the procedure requires minimal sitting during the 2-3 week recovery period.

All cosmetic surgeries are subjective. And while results of both procedures offer a wide variety of benefits, you have to decide which method will work best for you and your needs. We would be happy to help guide you as you make your decision.
