Overlake Surgery Center
At Flugstad Plastic Surgery, we choose to perform most of our surgical procedures requiring general anesthesia at Overlake Surgery Center (OSC), located on the campus of Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington. All procedures done at the OSC are considered “outpatient,” meaning you go home on the day of surgery. We have had a relationship with this facility for many years. The OSC is staffed with top-notch, board certified anesthesiologists and nursing staff whose purpose is to keep you comfortable and safe throughout your surgery day. Accredited by the state of Washington, Medicare, and the AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare), the OSC sets the standard on the Eastside for patient safety and quality care in ambulatory surgery.
Every aspect of your care will be overseen by Dr. Flugstad in partnership with the dedicated nursing staff and anesthesiologists at Overlake Surgery Center. Just like in our office, you will receive professional treatment from admission through recovery and discharge home.
Overlake Surgery Center is conveniently located in the Overlake Medical Tower at the north end of the Overlake Hospital campus.

Smaller and non-surgical procedures requiring only local anesthesia will be performed in our procedure center at the Flugstad Plastic Surgery office.
Occasionally we will recommend that you recover in the hospital overnight after surgery for your safety and comfort. This would typically be for longer cases, when you are under anesthesia for longer than 4.5 hours. If that is the case, your surgery can be scheduled on the main campus of Overlake Hospital. Overlake is the premier hospital system on the Eastside, with fantastic surgeons in nearly every discipline. After your surgery and admission to the overnight stay unit, you will receive around-the-clock monitoring and care from experienced nursing staff. We believe that partnering with Overlake Hospital allows us to offer an added measure of patient safety for longer cosmetic surgery cases.
